Climate Thinking Cap

Climate Change ThinkingCap (or called BigHat) (c)2019 Cynthia Pannucci
17″ diameter x 7″ high crown

Photo-collage on Chinese farmer’s woven straw hat with black plastic embossed text-strips and small hand-fabricated and “found” 3D shapes, plus yellow cording as side-barriers

This hat was created as a way for me to learn about the science of climate change and its impacts on all living things. Each of the four sides represents devastating climate change events: Melting Polar Ice Caps/Rising sea levels, California’s 2018 wildfires, Houston floods from Hurricane Harvey, and HABs (Harmful Algal Blooms) along Florida’s Gulfcoast shorelines in 2018.
