In 1981, I traded-in Vermont’s gentle, tree-filled landscapes for the dense, vertical scapes of New York City… a drastically different source of visual inspiration.

Above was one of several pieces in a series commissioned by interior designer, Sandy Grotta, for a Lower Manhattan real estate developer’s offices. Images were silk-screened in black pigment on cotton canvas and then hand-painted in color on two of the 3 triptych panels; mounted on open mesh metal screen that was mounted onto black board.
